BOT Minutes September 2019

Present: Jennifer Thomas, Liz Bourcy, Rebecca Hall, Jean Butler, Marcia Schryver, Linda Carroll, Amy Kenney  Excused: Cathy Pitkin

Welcome Sabrina Dettmer who is considering becoming a Board Member.

Treasurer's Report was emailed to each Board Member and reviewed at the meeting.  Becky is still awaiting tax return form from attorney which should be maild by the middle of September.  The charge for this was quoted between $300 and $500.

Secretary's report was reviewed.

Director's Report: August 28, 2019 Cindy Parker resigned her position as library employee.  Not looking at hiring anyone at this time.  Other employees, volunteers are taking on extra hours.  

Group Psychic reading with Wilson Stevenson will be held at the library on 9/28/19 from 1pm to 3pm.  Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door.  Limited to 60 persons.  Information is posted on library's Facebook page.   Liz suggested posting to Wilson's page.  Liz to get chairs again for the event.

Library's fall calendar of events and happenings has been drawn up for September through December.

October 19 is the Great Library Give Back from 10am to 12pm.  Come in to participate/helpin the library's various projects.  October 26 is a Craft Swap from 10am to 12pm.  (Date may change because of Trunk or Treat in Brownville.)

A new printer that has wireleess capability was recently purchased.  The Board will have to approve a new pricing list for colored pages.

Snow removal - looking into hiring someone for the season.  Sabrina will contact Adam Brown to see if he's interested.

October 26th the library will participate in Trunk or Treat at the Brown Mansion in Brownville from 1pm to 4pm weather permitting.  Inclement weather may cause it to be rescheduled.  Board Members are asked to donate a bag of candy.  Jennifer has already purchased decorations for her vehicle.  

We chose a YETI bottle for Beth's retirement gift.  Linda will have the library's logo put on it.

The October 14th Board Meeting is moved to October 7th due to the Columbus Day holiday.

The November 11th Board Meeting is mpved to November 18th due to the Veteran' Day holiday.
