SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Our summer reading program is online this summer and has two components: READsquared and Page Turner Adventures.
Parents and children create an account at our READsquared site (https://dexlibny11.readsquared.com) Once you have created an account you can review reading lists, log reading, participate in missions and even play games. At the end of each month participants' names will be entered into our monthly prize drawing.
Families are also invited to join us for PAGE TURNER ADVENTURES beginning June 15th and running for 10 weeks. Access to our weekly adventures start when you ask to join our Facebook group: Dexter Free Library Summer Reading Program featuring Page Turner Adventures. New programs will be accessible each day by 10am.
We encourage community members to make their requests for library materials using the online catalog. ILL service will be resuming the week of June 22nd. The catalog may be used to request items of NCLS member libraries. We will contact you to arrange pick-up when we have received the materials requested.
RETURNING LIBRARY MATERIALS
All returns must be made via the outdoor return.
***IMPORTANT***Returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours. What does this mean? The library staff will remove items from the outdoor return and place them in a designated area in the library. We will mark the items with the current day's date and they will sit for 72 hours. At the end of 72 hours the items will be discharged from your library card.
For example, you place items in the return on Sunday. A staff member empties the return at 10am on Monday. On Thursday sometime after 10am the items you borrowed are discharged.
As always we appreciate your patience and understanding.
